Hi there, this is Kia! I am a Nutritionist, wife, and mom to two amazing kids – my 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter.  
I know first hand the pain a hormone imbalance can cause. In my early 20's I experienced unexplained weight gain and went from a size 2 to a size 12 in less than a year. I was also tired all the time, had horrible digestive issues, mood swings, horrendous PMS and periods, and worst of all I couldn't seem to carry a pregnancy to term. After seeking several avenues of medical care, I was able to lose most of the weight (by being extremely careful about what I ate and exercising constantly) and I learned to live with the rest of the discomfort.
It wasn't until my mid thirties that I decided enough was enough and that was the moment that changed everything! I began devouring nutritional information, realized everything I was experiencing stemmed from a hormone imbalance, and completely revamped my diet. In less than a year I was at my ideal weight (with much less exercise) and was pregnant with my son. Two beautiful babies later, I am now in my 40's and the healthiest I have ever been. Weight is never a struggle (even post baby) and I have tons of energy, even as I am dealing with the sleeplessness that comes with motherhood.

Hi everyone! I’m Melissa and I am so excited to introduce myself to you! I am a nutritionist, wife, and mom to an incredible 2 year old boy. Growing up I was crippled with anxiety. I had bouts of depression and a ton of digestive issues that despite many medications and various doctors, no one could figure out. I was terrified of the idea of ever getting pregnant because I was concerned about post partum depression (PPD), and how would my body and gut react to a pregnancy with all my digestive issues? I was exhausted and lethargic on a daily basis. It wasn’t until I completely changed my diet that I was able to reclaim my life. After a complete nutrition overhaul, I came off of 95% of my medications, my depression is in the past, my anxiety very rarely creeps back into my life, I have energy, and my digestive issues are light years better! I had an incredible pregnancy with what my doctors described as “textbook weight gain and vitals”. I made it through without PPD and had no trouble getting back to my preconception weight. Changing the way I eat has truly changed my life and I am forever grateful for the power of nutrition!
